Accommodation

Limited accommodation will be arranged in the University based on first come first served basis. Participants are requested to convey the type of accommodation and food habit of their choice at the earliest to the Organizing Secretary.

The Fakir Mohan University, Vyasa Vihar, Balasore was established in 1999 named after Vyasa Kabi Fakir Mohan Senapati, who is regarded as the father of odia nationalism and modern odia literature. The University has also been accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), UK. The University is committed to develop itself as a value and need-based quality education provider in the state of Odisha. It has the ultimate objective of producing qualified and competent manpower responsive to the changing needs of the society at the national and international levels. In its quest for being an outstanding centre for learning and development of human resource, it cherishes a clear vision and mission. The University presently running in two campuses with 23 regular and self financing departments. The University is accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC with 3.18 CGPA which is The 3RD highest among the public Universities of the State. The University is also ranked at 151-200,51-100 in the year 2024 in NIRF ranking in University and State Public University category.

The Department of Computer Science started offering master’s degree programmes in Computer Application and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the year 2004. The Department sincerely attempts to prepare professionals in Computer Science and Information & Communication Technology for corporate and non corporate sectors including government, research, and development institutions. The Department is also planning to establish a national network for education, training, and placement cell, a research, and development unit, and special units in data science, AI and machine learning, robotics, cyber security and digital forensics, and related areas.
